Four eBGP peers, per-peer prefix count. Control-plane saturation.

Function

Stands up up to 4 eBGP peers against the NGFW under test, each advertising a chosen number of prefixes. Used for BGP saturation Test Kind (per ADR 0012).

Dependencies

Operator controls

  • /admin/bgp-saturation — pick peer count, route count mode, AFI stack (v4/v6/dual-stack)
  • Multi-peer topology (BGP-12) splits route count across 1-4 peers evenly with last absorbing remainder

  • bgp_advertised_prefixes_total{afi, peer_index} — count by AFI/peer
  • bgp_convergence_t50_ms, _t95_ms, _t99_ms
  • bgp_churn_recovery_p95_ms
  • ngfw_memory_pct, ngfw_cpu_pct (cross-correlated via SNMP.Art)

Notes

Per feedback_module_naming_2026_05_09, all 4 peers are addressed as MÓDULO BGP-1.Art ... MÓDULO BGP-4.Art in customer-facing UI. Internal code keeps vyos-bgp-peer-{1..4}.
